If you’ve been slacking on those New Year’s resolutions (raises hand), we know just the thing to help you get back in the groove.
Last year, we told you about the National Fitness Campaign (NFC) fitness courts that provide free access to a full-body workout for all skill levels and ages. The state’s newest fitness court just opened in Kimberly, Alabama (20 miles north of downtown Birmingham) and we went to check it out.
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama, the City of Kimberly and NFC brought Alabama’s 19th fitness court to Kimberly Municipal Park, and it’s officially open.
Nestled about 20 miles north of Birmingham, Kimberly Municipal Park is an incredible family-friendly park and allowed us to get a great workout in at their new fitness court.
The best part? It was completely free!
“We are proud to partner with the City of Kimberly and NFC to bring a fitness court to this area of Jefferson County.
It is our hope that this dynamic platform will provide Kimberly residents and the community an innovative avenue to get healthier in 2025.”
