A home on one of New Albany’s most exclusive addresses has been listed for $4.6 million.
The 10-year-old home is one of four white brick homes on Highgrove Circle, a brick cobblestone drive lined with gas lanterns in the heart of the New Albany Country Club.
“This is the most prestigious community in New Albany,” said Rob Riddle, an owner of the Thomas ❘ Riddle Group with New Albany Realty, who is listing the home for $4.595 million. “Homes there don’t come up often.”
Riddle noted that homes on the circle come with special golf carts that are the only private carts that can be driven on the golf course and have reserved parking spots in front of the clubhouse.
The two-story Georgian Revival-style home includes 11,132 square feet of finished space including the lower level.
Check out the gallery with this story for a look inside the home.
Visitors enter into a formal foyer with stairs. To one side is a dining room and to the other a sitting room with a bar. The rear of the first floor contain the living room and eat-in kitchen with access to a pantry and wet bar. A second set of stairs rises off a mudroom connecting the home to a four-car garage.
A first-floor wing includes a guest bedroom suite and wood-paneled two-story office. Other wood details can be found throughout the home including wainscoting, coffered ceilings and extensive built-ins.
Upstairs are a loft, a laundry room and four bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. The primary suite includes a 23-by-20-foot bedroom and a 20-by-33-foot closet.
The lower level includes an open finished space (with an egress window) that includes bar and theater areas, and a glass-walled wine cellar as well as family living space. A sixth bedroom with full bath, and a workout room, round out the floor.
A brick patio runs along the rear of the home overlooking the 1-acre lot that includes a stream.
