Former Nebraska football receiver Isaiah Neyor had an impressive NFL combine. He succeeded in multiple areas, including the 40-yard dash, running a 4.40 on the day.
Out of 323 wide receivers drafted in the last ten years, only four wideouts have weighed in at 218 pounds or more and had a 4.40 time in the drill. Chase Claypool, DK Metcalf, Xavier Leggett, and Robert Davis all fit the distinction as reported by Fran Duffy for the All City Network. Neyor can be added to that list as well.
The former Husker wideout recorded 34 catches for 455 yards and five touchdowns last season for Nebraska. He transferred to Lincoln in January, following stops with the Wyoming Cowboys and the Texas Longhorns. He had a six-catch 121-yard performance in the season-opening game against UTEP, and remained a productive weapon throughout the season.
Neyor has used the combine to elevate his draft stock and indeed showed out at a high level. He could be a big-play weapon for a team needing a wide receiver.
The NFL draft will occur April 24-26 from Lambeau Field in Green Bay, WI.
By bringing in new coaches and executives earlier in the NFL offseason, the Patriots signaled a change in organizational philosophies and strategies.
