Nebraska football is set to get a visit from four-star linebacker Tai’Yon King. No official visit date has been set yet. He is currently a four-star linebacker. According to the Rivals.com rankings, he is the 11th overall player in his class from the state of Texas and the fifth overall linebacker in the 2026 class.
Nebraska has been steadily involved in King’s recruitment over the last year. The program officially extended him an offer in December 2023. This was coming off a strong high school season that saw him record 138 tackles, eight sacks, and eight pass breakups.
Now, it appears that Nebraska will get a chance to impress him once again. Currently, the 2026 recruiting class has three commitments in it. The class itself ranks 42nd overall in the nation, per the Rivals Team Rankings. Adding King to the class would be a solid get for the Huskers.
The Huskers have made it a point to recruit in Texas during Matt Rhule’s tenure. A commitment from King would add to that. He would also be another strong addition to a linebacker room that is full of young talent. Time will tell where the Huskers fall in this recruitment. However, locking King in for a visit is certainly a step in the right direction.
