LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Staying active and making great nutritional choices can be hard during the holidays. The Nebraska Sports Council is launching the final challenge in their WellPower Movement to keep people motivated.
The Fall Fresh Air Challenge is a completely virtual experience that’s built for accountability and fun. Beginning November 1, people can sign up on the WellPower Movement website and start to earn virtual badges and real prizes.
Dave Mlnarik, the President of the Nebraska Sports Council, said by logging some extra physical activity people will qualify for weekly gift-card drawings.
“You can compete with yourself, family, friends, coworkers,” Dave explained. “Everyone can get more active.”
The WellPower Movement‘s Fall Fresh Air Challenge is sponsored by the Nebraska Chiropractic Physicians Association. Dr. Nick Payne, The Association’s Executive Director, said people can make a huge difference in their lives by creating small, positive changes in their physical activity.
“Take the steps instead of the elevator,” Dr. Payne said. “Just simple small changes like that will help you stay healthy and stay moving.”
