FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – The NDSU football team landed at Hector International Airport Tuesday, January 7.
The team cherished their tenth national championship in the last fourteen years and received a warm welcome back to Fargo.
“The Bison fans always represent. There were a lot of bars that look forward to us being here all the time. And they had everything in green and gold,” said Big 98.7 Radio Host Amanda Lea Linder.
Linder expressed her appreciation in her first trip to Frisco, Texas, as well as admiring the performance of one particular player.
“When Cam came to play and he did what he did in that first half, everyone was jacked,” said Linder.
While the game appeared to be smooth sailing in the first half as the Bison were up 21-3, it gave an uneasy feeling to the fan base.
“Third quarter you start getting a little nervous, but it was everything you wanted it to be for the team,” said Linder.
The nervousness from the fans eventually turned into a rejoicing crowd as NDSU beat Montana State 35-32.
“From President Cook to Coach Polacek and everybody, the staff. This is a legacy. This is a dynasty,” said Linder.
It can’t be stated enough for what the players and the entire staff have created.
