SOMERSET, N.J. – North Carolina Central was voted fifth in the 2025 Northeast Conference Women’s Golf Preseason Coaches Poll. The Eagles received a first-place vote.
The Eagles are coming off an eighth-place finish in the 2024 Northeast Conference Championship Tournament. They finished better than predicted – the Eagles were 10th in last year’s preseason poll.
Five golfers are back including senior Trinity Ahing, who tied for sixth in the individual standings of the conference championship tournament last year. Ahing headlines a veteran nucleus featuring Aubree Clements, Josefina Rendo, Sidney Renville and Cailynn Winford.
Mya Smith joins the Eagles’ program as a freshman. Former NCCU men’s golfer Kendall Wallace enters his first spring season as head coach.
