Hough | Sr., LB
Bell continues to wreak havoc as part of a dominant Hough defense. He led the Huskies with eight tackles, five of them on a solo basis, in addition to a sack as part of their 33-0 drubbing of Mallard Creek.
A Davidson recruit, he has 43 tackles (seven for a loss), four sacks and an interception this fall.
Monroe | Sr., QB
Chambers had his best night of the season Friday, completing 8 of 13 passes for 230 yards and three touchdowns as part of a 55-0 win over Anson. The 6-foot-2, 155-pound quarterback has completed 56% of passes this fall for seven TDs, along with 337 rushing yards and seven more TDs.
Chambers has received offers from Charlotte, Coastal Carolina, Georgia State, Lenoir-Rhyne and Temple.
South View | Sr., RB
In his team’s 57-0 win over Gray’s Creek, Dockery tied the NCHSAA record with eight rushing touchdowns. The effort was part of him setting a school record with 320 yards on 24 carries.
Through seven games, he’s rushed for 1,293 yards and 22 touchdowns, averaging 10.4 yards per carry. He’s currently being recruited by UNC Pembroke, Culver-Stockton, Minnesota North College and St. Andrews.
Southern Alamance | Sr., RB
Following a midseason lull, Donley is back to kniving through opposing defenses for big gains. Through eight games, he has rushed for 952 yards and 15 touchdowns. This comes after he rushed for 145 yards and three touchdowns last week in a 42-14 win over Orange.
He has rushed for 100+ yards in five of eight games.
Cape Fear | Sr., DB
A 6-foot, 171-pound defensive back, Gary is enjoying a solid 2024 campaign at Cape Fear. In a 35-0 victory last Friday over Jack Britt, he tallied six tackles and had two interceptions, one ending a Jack Britt scoring threat in the red zone.
Gary has 52 tackles (two for a loss) this fall, along with three interceptions and a forced fumble.
Watauga | Sr., QB
The dual-threat quarterback had himself a night last Friday, completing 11 of 13 passes for 162 yards and two touchdowns, in addition to 200 rushing yards on 19 carries as part of a 49-21 win over Alexander Central. Greene has completed just shy of 70% of his passes for 693 yards and nine TDs this fall, along with 705 rushing yards and five TDs.
A 5-foot-9, 168-pound senior, he recently picked up his first offer from Cardinal Newman. Greene also earned all-state honors in baseball.
Cardinal Gibbons | Jr., QB
The 5-foot-10, 181-pound quarterback was almost perfect last Friday, completing 21 of 27 passes for 415 yards and five touchdowns in a 41-7 rout of Sanderson. He connected with wideout Sam Dodd eight times for 228 yards and each of his five TDs.
Jones holds an offer from Elon, with other schools also interested in the junior standout.
Franklin | So., QB
Terrell set a career-high by going 15 of 26 passes for 260 yards and two touchdowns, in addition to two more TDs on the ground in a 35-21 win over Tuscola. The 5-foot-10, 165-pound quarterback is part of the reason Franklin is 6-0, completing 58% of his passes for 716 yards and eight TDs.
West Lincoln | Sr., RB
Winnex enjoyed his second straight game in which he rushed for 200 yards, going for a season-high 278 yards and four touchdowns in the Rebels’ 50-27 victory. He also had three tackles and two assists.
A 5-foot-10, 155-pound athlete, Winnex is averaging better than 10 yards per carry during a season in which he’s rushed for 878 yards and nine TDs. Such comes on the heels of a 2023 campaign in which he tallied 1,472 yards and 22 TDs.
