NBA Twitter reacts to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s 54 points against Jazz
Failing to put away the Utah Jazz, the Oklahoma City Thunder‘s 123-114 win was a blessing in disguise. With 41 points after three quarters, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander took advantage of the close score to shatter his career high.
Gilgeous-Alexander finished with a career-best 54 points on 17-of-35 shooting, eight rebounds and five assists. He shot 3-of-10 from 3 and went 17-of-18 at the free-throw line.
The MVP candidate splashed in a mid-range jumper for his 50th point after creating space against Lauri Markannen with a stop-and-drop. He then had a breakaway dunk to celebrate the career milestone.
