The NBA announced Monday that point guard Darius Garland received his second Eastern Conference Player of the Week honor.
Garland was selected for games played from Jan. 6 to Jan. 12. In that span, Garland averaged 26 points on 53% shooting, including 41% from the 3-point line. He becomes just the fourth Cavs player to win the award three or more times. The others: LeBron James (42), Kyrie Irving (4) and Donovan Mitchell (4).
It’s the 70 time a Cavs player has won the award. He became the third player this season to win the award multiple times.
