Magic play Austin, Texas in Nov. 8 season opener
Body
The Osceola Magic’s second season at the Silver Spurs Arena tips off in just over two months.
The NBA G League released its 2024-25 schedule Tuesday, and part of that announcement was that the Osceola Magic will open the season on Friday, Nov. 8 at 7 p.m. against the Austin Spurs, NBA G League affiliate of the San Antonio Spurs.
That opener is part of a four-game stand to open the G League season (Nov. 8, 10, 14-15). The season is marked by stretches of home games and road trips, due to Osceola Heritage Park’s commitments to the Osceola County Fair and Silver Spurs Rodeo, among other engagements.
Osceola will play a total of 13 home games on Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the friendly confines of “The Spurs” this season. The new schedule also includes five “back-to-back” home dates. There will be four home November and December dates, three in January, two in February and 10 in March.
For the fourth consecutive season, the schedule will be split into two parts – a 16-game Tip-Off Tournament, ending with the Winter Showcase at the Orange County Convention Center, and a traditional 34-game regular season. Following the Tip-Off tournament, team records will reset.
“We’re excited for the second season,” Osceola Magic Team President Hans Steinbrenner said. “Our favorite part is that we’ll start and end the Tip-Off Tournament, and then start and end the regular season portion, in the friendly confines of OHP. It’s fine that we have to be road warriors for a bit in the winter, but we have great partnerships with the fair and the rodeo. We can’t wait for the season to start.”
The entire Magic schedule is available at OsceolaMagic.com.
Osceola Magic tickets, including season tickets, group tickets, suites and single-game tickets are on sale now. Season and group tickets get the cost as low as as $10 per game. Visit OsceolaMagic.com/tickets or call 407.447.2140.
