Basketball fans have trolled NBA insider Shams Charania after he immediately broke news of Joe Biden‘s withdrawal from the US Presidential race on Sunday.
Shams, who covers contract extensions, free agent signings and trade deals for The Athletic, surprised many of his social media followers when he broke news on the latest update within the Democratic party ahead of the election in November.
‘Joe Biden has withdrawn from the US President race,’ Shams posted on X at around 3 p.m. ET.
‘How does this impact LeBron’s legacy?’ a Lakers parody account replied.
‘Shams spoiling president races now this is getting out of hand,’ another user wrote.

‘How does this affect the Knicks PG rotation,’ a Knicks fan account asked.
One user shared that him ‘finding this out from Shams is hilarious.’
Someone else pointed out that ‘Shams went from spoiling draft picks to spoiling elections.’
Biden’s decision to pull out from US Presidential race comes after a golf pro at one of Donald Trump’s courses said the former president hit a perfect 210-yard four iron to within 10 feet of a hole.
‘He needed to sink that putt to win. Do you think he sunk it? You better believe he sunk that putt,’ John Nieporte said at the Republican National Convention (RNC), according to the Huffington Post.
Donald Trump has claimed that he is a better golfer than Biden on several previous occasions
Trump attorney Alina Habba later claimed that Trump had ‘one heck of a golf swing’ and could even keep up with professional golfers.
‘He can kick some of those guys’ butts,’ Habba said.
Biden once claimed he previously had a handicap of six while he was vice president – which Trump scoffed at – before calling his political opponent a ‘child.’
Earlier this month, Trump emerged as a shock outside candidate to be the US Ryder Cup captain after Tiger Woods reportedly rejected the role.
