The NBA Cup (formerly NBA In-Season Tournament) is back for its second season. After making a splash in Year 1, the games will be even bolder than before.
Regardless of where you stand on the tournament, there’s no denying that the games have a different feel and look than typical regular season games. Just like last year, NBA Cup games will be signified by the courts teams will use exclusively for the event.
The NBA Cup begins on Nov. 12, which is when teams will debut their new bold court designs. When fans flip the game on, they’ll immediately know the stakes differ from a typical game played on a Tuesday or Friday night in November.
With that in mind, here’s everything you need to know about the NBA Cup courts.

All 30 NBA teams have an alternate court for NBA Cup games.
Like last year, all 30 teams will participate in the tournament. Teams have been split into six groups of five teams. Each team will play four games of Group Play — one game against each other team in their group — on designated “Cup Nights.”
As such, each team will play two NBA Cup games at home and two games on the road. Each team will play on their NBA Cup court at least twice. The top team in each group, plus one “wild card” team will advance to the Knockout Round.
Here are the NBA Cup courts for each team:

Like last year, the NBA Cup courts feature bold, colorful designs with the NBA Cup featured in the lane and at the midcourt logo. All courts also feature a contrasting circle design as well as script and/or a pattern specific to the home team.
The Celtics, for example, will play on a green parquet floor with black accents.

When the Knockout Round begins, the Quarterfinals will be played in the home arenas of the top two seeds in each conference. Those two teams will have one more opportunity to play on their alternate court in front of their home fans before the Semifinals and NBA Cup Championship are played in Las Vegas.
