Damian Lillard has joined a very exclusive club.
The Milwaukee Bucks and former Trail Blazers star guard has agreed to a lifetime contract with Adidas, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.
Lillard joins Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James and Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant (both with Nike) and Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry (Under Armour) as the only active NBA players to have a lifetime shoe endorsement deal.
Lillard, 34, originally signed with Adidas after the Trail Blazers selected him with the No. 6 pick in the 2012 NBA draft. Lillard then signed a 10-year, $100 million contract with the company in 2014. The report added that Lillard’s on-court and shoe contracts total more than $600 million in career salaries.
Lillard helped the Bucks defeat the Oklahoma City Thunder to win the 2024 NBA Cup on Tuesday night. He was named to the NBA’s Top 75 greatest list and is an eight-time All-Star.
