First off, NARC! What the heck is that? What, you can’t gamble til 8am without someone telling on you? Social media ruins everything. Disgusting. And it turns out Cody there was right, because today CJ Abrams, an all-star, was demoted to AAA to finish out the year:
For shame, Cody. For shame! Can guys not even have fun anymore??? Show of hands- whomst amongst us has never accidentally had a late night at the casino when we have work the next day? You don’t *intend* to roll dice til 8am, sometimes it just happens. You’re on a heater and next thing you know the sun is rising.
Besides, Michael Jordan did this basically every day. So do we want our pro athletes to “Be like Mike” or not? Hmm.
I get it though- accountability of being a pro athlete and what have you. Blah blah blah. But honestly, no schtick, it just sounds like a mistake everyone has made. If not for social media he’d be in the lineup today. If he was a teacher he’d just roll in the TV stand and put on a movie. If he was a pilot he’d just put on cruise control. Everyone shows up to their job tired, he just so happened to get narc’d on. Plus, the Nats aren’t even in the pennant race, so it’s much to do about nothing.
So thus ends CJ Abrams’ season. He’ll finish as an All Star with 20 HRs and hitting .500 over the last week and .324 over the last 15 days. Hope he enjoys the Palm Beach casinos! (Gamble responsibly. Call the number if you have a problem)
