MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – It’s National Career Coach Day to recognize how career coaches help shape the workplace.
Career coaches are expert professionals who are up-to-date on current employment and hiring practices. They help people plan careers, create resumes, teach interview and wage negotiation skills, and can guide you through the process of landing a career.
Montgomery Public Schools operates the Montgomery Preparatory Academy For Career Technologies, known as MPACT, to train young people for careers so they’re ready to enter the workforce when they finish high school.
MPACT prepares high schoolers for careers in advanced manufacturing, hospitality and tourism, information technology, health science, education, business and finance, and law and public safety.
It also offers highly skilled training in high-paying technical fields like building science and construction management, electrical technology, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, welding and metal fabrication, advertising design, medical science and industrial systems.
Learn more about MPACT and how to connect with a career coach on the MPS website.
