After several delays, Nash & Smashed is now open at the Woodmoor Shopping Center.

The restaurant between Bento Express and Woodmoor Cleaners at 10121 Colesville Rd. was initially planned to open last September but was delayed to December, and the company changed its name to Nash & Smashed during that timeframe.

Nash & Smashed’s website states it is the “ultimate destination for Nashville-style fried chicken, sandwiches, smashed burgers, and more.” After years of development, it opened its first location last year in Manassas and has since expanded to Herndon, Ashburn, Laurel, and Ellicott City.

The Aldie, Va.-based chain has partnered with Kallisto Steakhouse, Spice Village, and Peri-Peri Original for pop-up locations, including one at Colesville Center.

“People love our sandwiches,” owner Zayan Abbassi said to MoCo360 last August, noting that he decided to open at the Woodmoor Shopping Center because of the area’s bustling environment, public transportation options, and proximity to other eateries and Montgomery Blair High School.

Nash & Smashed offers chicken sandwiches, smash burgers, fried chicken tenders and wings, mac and cheese, waffle fries, and mocktails. The restaurant’s menu is fully halal, and the smash burgers are available in sizes ranging from 3 to 12 ounces to accommodate individual preferences.
