STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Talk about ringing in the new year the right way.

The New York Lottery on Wednesday announced three top-prize tickets were sold on New Year’s Eve for the TAKE 5 evening drawing.

The tickets, each worth $12,751, were sold at KNY Cigar Inc in Franklin Square, Queens; Ridgewood Andy’s Deli in Ridgewood, Queens; and PPZ Supermarkets Inc in Sodus. Sodus is about 34 miles east of Rochester.

The winning numbers were 3, 6, 16, 19, 27.

TAKE 5 numbers are drawn from a field of one through 39. To win the TAKE 5 jackpot, match the five numbers on your ticket to the winning five-number combination drawn. It costs $1 per game to play.

The drawing is broadcast on television twice daily at 2:30 and 10:30 p.m. TAKE 5 players with midday and evening draws on the same ticket must check their numbers at nylottery.ny.gov to determine if they have the winning numbers for the corresponding midday or evening drawing.

The odds of winning the TAKE 5 jackpot are 1 in 575,757.

A Lottery draw game prize of any amount may be claimed up to one year from the date of the drawing.
