LAWRENCEBURG, Tenn. (WKRN) — One Lawrence County manufacturing facility has joined the list of Middle Tennessee corporations to see job loss in the coming months.
A spokesperson for Modine, which operates a plant in Lawrenceburg, told News 2 that 160 jobs would be eliminated at the facility in 2025.
“This difficult decision was made in response to well-publicized weakness in the broader agriculture and heavy equipment markets,” the spokesperson added in a statement. “This reduction only applies to this facility.”
The Modine Manufacturing Company, which works on a variety of products, announced a $1.2 million investment into Lawrence County in 2021; a press release from that announcement said Modine has had a manufacturing presence in the state for three decades.
