KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Kalamazoo shoppers hit the downtown area Friday night during the city’s Moonlight Madness.
Businesses in the Kalamazoo Mall and surrounding blocks had their doors open later, while restaurants remained open for late night dining.
This gave local consumers the chance to buy local from local sources, and shops the chance to get new customers.
“We’ve seen a lot of our regular customers coming in and we’ve seen a ton of new people as well that just heard about the event and are coming down, so it’s been a really nice night,” said Jessica Thompson, owner of Bee Joyful Shop.
The late-night shopping experience also featured a Holly Jolly Trolley for a festive ride downtown while the Mall was adorned with holiday lighting.
