16 Major League Rugby matches to air on regional media platform beginning on Saturday, Feb. 15
Washington, D.C. (February 11, 2025) – Monumental Sports Network (MNMT) and Old Glory DC announced today that the team’s full 2025 season schedule will air on the independent media platform. MNMT’s broadcast schedule begins with Old Glory’s season opener on the road against the Miami Sharks on Saturday, Feb. 15 at 6 PM ET and will run through the first week of June. This marks the second consecutive year MNMT will broadcast Old Glory matches on its air, after the network showed 13 live games in 2024.
“We are delighted to renew our broadcast partnership with Old Glory DC and televise a sport that is quickly growing in viewership and popularity,” said Caitlin Mangum, Vice President, Content & Programming at MNMT. “Broadcasting Old Glory’s entire 2025 season on our platform will offer D.C.-area sports fans the opportunity to engage with this fast-paced, physical game and support a rising local team.”
Old Glory games on MNMT will be available to local fans both on linear tv and via streaming platforms within the network’s coverage area, stretching from Richmond to Delaware. Rugby fans can watch the games through their TV provider, on monumentalplus.com, or by downloading the Monumental+ app on iOS, Android, Apple TV, Roku, and Amazon Fire TV and using an eligible TV provider log-in.
Fans without a TV provider who are interested in watching these matches and receiving other outstanding benefits can purchase an annual direct-to-consumer membership priced at $199.99 per year at monumentalplus.com (savings of $39.89 per year compared to 12 months of a monthly subscription). Monthly memberships with access to all live games on MNMT, alternate broadcasts, and app-exclusive features are also available at $19.99 per month.
“We’re excited to bring professional rugby to the entire Greater Washington region with Monumental Sports Network again this year,” said Old Glory’s Chairman Chris Dunlavey. “The sport of rugby is on the rise and Monumental Sports and Old Glory DC are offering fans a front row seat to the heart-pumping, fast-paced action all season long.”
Old Glory is the only professional rugby team in the DMV region and is back for the 2025 Major League Rugby season after reaching the semi-final round of the playoffs in 2024 and achieving a .500 season for the first time in franchise history. This year, the team welcomes back fan-favorite stars like Washington, D.C.-native Jack Iscaro, electrifying winger Axel Muller and Scottish rugby legend Rob Harley, as well as new additions to the squad including Welsh standout center Steff Hughes.
In addition to the network’s Old Glory coverage, Monumental Sports Network is the exclusive local television media rights holder for the NHL’s Washington Capitals, NBA’s Washington Wizards, WNBA’s Washington Mystics, and NBA G League’s Capital City Go-Go. It also proudly boasts a comprehensive schedule of original programming and live college football, college volleyball, college and high school basketball, and esports, as well as Washington Spirit (NWSL), Washington Freedom (Major League Cricket), and Annapolis Blues (NPSL) games. In total, MNMT will air close to 500 total games during the 2024-25 season, an all-time high.
