Auction proceeds will go to Monumental Sports & Entertainment Foundation’s Legacy on Ice program benefitting families and first responders affected by the Ronald Reagan National Airport Tragedy
Washington, D.C. (February 26, 2025) – The Monumental Sports & Entertainment Foundation (MSEF) will open a benefit auction on Sunday, March 2 at 12:00 pm EST ahead of the Legacy on Ice figure skating tribute, offering additional opportunities to support communities impacted by the Ronald Regan National Airport aviation tragedy. All auction proceeds will benefit the families and first responders impacted by the January tragedy through the MSEF Legacy on Ice program.

An autographed hockey jersey signed by platinum-certified band O.A.R.

Legacy on Ice is a live figure skating benefit event for the families and loved ones affected by the tragic aviation incident at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport last month, and the first responders and aviation professionals who responded heroically to the tragedy. The two-hour program will feature performances from current and former skating champions along with poignant tributes to the history of figure skating in the United States. Additionally, the first responders, the fallen and their families will be acknowledged in tributes of remembrance.
The event is co-hosted by 1988 Olympic champion Brian Boitano and 1992 Olympic champion Kristi Yamaguchi and will feature some of the skating world’s most beloved stars, including Jason Brown, Nathan Chen, Madison Chock & Evan Bates, Peggy Fleming, Nancy Kerrigan, Isabeau Levito, and Paul Wylie. The Legacy on Ice live telecast will be available to a national audience on March 2 from 3–5 p.m. ET on NBCUniversal’s Peacock streaming service and will simulcast live on MSE’s independent media platform Monumental Sports Network (MNMT) and Monumental+ throughout the DMV region. NBC will broadcast an encore of the event on Sunday, March 30 at 1 p.m. ET.
