Señor Buscador returned to the work tab in bullet fashion Monday morning. His four-furlong time of 47.3 seconds was the fastest of five at trainer Todd Fincher’s Sunland Park base.
The Monday drill by the 6-year-old son of Mineshaft was his first since the Grade 2 Cigar Mile on Dec. 7. In that race at Aqueduct, Señor Buscador stumbled badly at the start and never mounted a rally. He crossed the wire ninth behind Locked.

works at the distance. This was his first work since his last race. In
his last start, he placed ninth in the Cigar Mile Handicap (G2) going
one mile on the main track at Aqueduct on Dec. 7 for trainer Todd
Fincher.
Nolde (Pioneerof the Nile), a Grade 2 winner (2019 Del Mar Derby), worked five furlongs in 1:04.0 at Pleasanton on Monday morning. It was the only works at the distance. This was his first work since his last race. In his last start, he won a claiming race going 1 1/8 miles on the main track at Pleasanton on Dec. 7 for trainer Steve Sherman.
Poster (Munnings), a Grade 2 winner (2024 Remsen), worked three furlongs in 36.2 seconds at Three Diamonds Training Center on Monday morning. It was the faster of two works at the distance. His previous work was five days ago going three furlongs at Turfway Park. In his last start, he won the Remsen (G2) going 1 1/8 miles on the main track at Aqueduct on Dec. 7 for trainer Eoin Harty.
Red Route One (Gun Runner), a Grade 2 winner (2024 New Orleans Classic), worked four furlongs in 50.4 seconds at Oaklawn on Monday morning. It was the 51st fastest of 87 works at the distance. His previous work was seven days ago going five furlongs at Oaklawn. In his last start, he placed seventh in the Clark (G2) going 1 1/8 miles on the main track at Churchill Downs on Nov. 29 for trainer Steve Asmussen.
Battle of Normandy (City of Light), a Grade 3 winner (2024 River City), worked four furlongs in 49.6 seconds at Payson Park on Monday morning. It was the second fastest of 16 works at the distance. His previous work was seven days ago going four furlongs at Payson Park. In his last start, he won the River City (G3) going 1 1/8 miles on the turf at Churchill Downs on Nov. 9 for trainer Shug McGaughey.
Big City Lights (Mr. Big), a Grade 3 winner (2024 Palos Verdes), worked four furlongs in 47.2 seconds at Santa Anita on Monday morning. It was the second fastest of 51 works at the distance. His previous work was eight days ago going five furlongs at Santa Anita. In his last start, he won the Cary Grant going seven furlongs on the main track at Del Mar on Nov. 9 for trainer Richard Mandella.
Kopion (Omaha Beach), a Grade 3 winner (2024 Santa Ynez), worked three furlongs in 36.8 seconds at Santa Anita on Monday morning. It was the ninth fastest of 15 works at the distance. Her previous work was five days ago going six furlongs at Santa Anita. In her last start, she placed fourth in the Santa Anita Oaks (G2) going 1 1/16 miles on the main track at Santa Anita on April 6 for trainer Richard Mandella.
Midnight Mammoth (Midnight Lute), a Grade 3 winner (2024 Cougar II), worked five furlongs in 59.8 seconds at Santa Anita on Monday morning. It was the third fastest of 49 works at the distance. His previous work was five days ago going four furlongs at Santa Anita. In his last start, he won the Cougar II (G3) going 1 1/2 miles on the main track at Del Mar on July 25 for trainer Craig Dollase.
Sittin On Go (Brody’s Cause), a Grade 3 winner (2020 Iroquois), worked three furlongs in 39.0 seconds at Oaklawn on Monday morning. It was the eighth fastest of 13 works at the distance.
