Teddy Bridgewater came out of retirement last week to sign with the Lions.
Bridgewater, 32, spent last season as the Lions’ backup quarterback behind starter Jared Goff. Hendon Hooker took on that role this season.
Bridgewater will dress and serve as the team’s emergency third quarterback for Monday Night Football. He is among the Lions’ inactives.
Detroit’s other inactives are running back David Montgomery (knee), offensive guard Kayode Awosika, offensive lineman Colby Sorsdal, offensive lineman Giovanni Manu, defensive lineman Brodric Martin and defensive lineman Jonah Williams.
The 49ers’ inactives are running back Israel Abanikanda, quarterback Brandon Allen, defensive end Robert Beal (ankle), offensive guard Spencer Burford (calf), defensive lineman Khalil Davis, linebacker Dre Greenlaw (calf) and cornerback Charvarius Ward (personal). Allen will serve as the emergency third quarterback.
