Live television is hard.

And even a veteran like ESPN’s Mina Kimes can sometimes get tripped up. But normally you don’t see a TV pro literally walk in front of the camera that’s currently airing the person speaking. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what Kimes did on Monday’s episode of NFL Live.

Right as NFL Live host Laura Rutledge began asking ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter a question about Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers’ injury status, Kimes made her move.

“Hey Mina,” Rutledge joked as Kimes walked directly in front of her shot. “Get it girl. Oh, go back one more time. There we go!” she said after Kimes backtracked towards her seat, cutting in front of the camera a second time.

Needless to say, the segment was quickly derailed.

“Hold on, just have Mina keep walking back-and-forth in that shot. That’s excellent television!” Schefter belted out.

Then, the show cut to fellow NFL Live colleague Marcus Spears with his arm around Kimes, who is fully face-in-palm embarrassed about the situation.

Later, the show rubbed salt in the wound, replaying the incident again for all to see.

Somehow, even in her moment of utter embarrassment, Kimes was able to get the last laugh.

“I can never make fun of Dan [Orlovsky] again about the end zone stuff,” Kimes said as they closed the show.

There really is never a bad time for a well-placed Orlovsky stepping-out-of-the-end-zone joke, is there?
