The Brooklyn Nets are one of the most intriguing teams in the NBA right now.
They are a team that is in rebuilding mode but have also been extremely competitive to start the season with a 7-10 record.
One of the biggest reasons for their surprising start has been the production they have been getting from Cam Thomas.
The former LSU star is averaging 24.8 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.5 assists per contest while shooting 45.8% from the field and 38.7% from the three-point range in 16 games.
Recently, Gery Woelfel of Woelfelspressbox.com noted that the Milwaukee Bucks could be a team with interest in trading for Cam Thomas (or Dorian Finney-Smith).
Via Woelfel: “There have been recent rumors the Bucks have interest in the Nets’ Cam Thomas and Dorian Finney-Smith.
According to two NBA sources, the Nets are open to trading anyone on their roster.
Said a GM about the Nets: “They’re getting ready to rebuild — again.””
A player like Thomas would be an extremely valuable addition to the Bucks.
He would be a fourth or fifth option on the team, which could make him even more dangerous.
On the other hand, Finney-Smith is good defender who can make threes.
For a Bucks team that is trying to win the 2025 title, either player would give their second unit a huge boost.
It’s worth noting that a lot of players on the Nets will be included in trade rumors over the next few months.
That said, the Bucks are clearly a team to watch on the trade market.
