The Michigan State men’s basketball team didn’t play last week and kept its same spot in the rankings.
The Spartans (10-2, 2-0 Big Ten), who have won five straight, remained No. 18 in the latest AP Top 25 released on Monday afternoon. They host Western Michigan (3-8, 0-0 MAC) at 3 p.m. Monday at the Breslin Center.
Michigan State’s women’s basketball team fell in the poll for the second straight week, dropping two spots to No. 21. The Spartans (11-2, 1-1 Big Ten) won their first 11 games of the season but have dropped two straight, including 72-66 at No. 8 Maryland on Sunday. They host Purdue (7-6, 0-2) at 2 p.m. on Wednesday.
