Michigan sports con lands Barry Sanders, Jared Goff, J.J. McCarthy as first guests
NOVI, MI – Some of the biggest names in Michigan sports history have been announced as the first guests of the 2025 Detroit Sports Spectacular.
Lions Hall of Fame running back, Barry Sanders, along with current Lions quarterback, Jared Goff and Michigan Wolverines national championship quarterback and current Minnesota Viking, J.J. McCarthy, are the first three guest announcements.
The event, now in its second year, will be at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi from Friday, May 30 though Sunday, June 1.
Tickets for the event will go on sale in April. Many more autograph guests will also be announced in the coming weeks and months as event organizers say they expect to have at least 50 sports guests booked for the weekend.
On top of that, there will be hundreds of sports card and collectible dealers along with auction houses, grading companies and more.
Last year’s inaugural event featured current and former Detroit Lions and Michigan Wolverines, a 1984 Detroit Tigers reunion and sports greats like Joe Montana, Andre Rison and Thurman Thomas.
