Michigan Lottery recognizes problem gambling awareness month in March
LANSING, Mich.— March is problem gambling awareness month and the Michigan Lottery is reminding people of their gambling helpline and resources that can help.
In the fiscal year 2024, the lottery provided a $1 million to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services to fund statewide education and treatment programs for gamblers.
In 2015, the Michigan Lottery became the first lottery in the United States to receive Internet Compliance Assessment Program (iCAP) certification from the NCPG for its commitment to responsible online gaming.
The Michigan Lottery online services also offers responsible gaming resources like:
- variety of self-exclusion periods
- Daily and weekly deposit limits
- Daily loss limits
- A variety of cool off periods
- Age verification at account registration
- Play history to monitor gaming activity
