Michigan football’s quarterback recruiting continues to be a whirlwind.
Cocoa (Fla.) four-star signal-caller Brady Hart flipped his commitment from Michigan to Texas A&M on Friday, he posted on social media. The top-100 recruit is reclassifying to the 2025 class and will sign with the Aggies on Dec. 4, according to On3′s Hayes Fawcett.
Hart, who was ranked as the No. 98 overall prospect in the 2026 class, per the 247Sports Composite, had been committed to the Wolverines since June, choosing Sherrone Moore’s program over an extensive offers list that included Ohio State, Clemson, Florida, Penn State, LSU, Notre Dame and Texas A&M.
His decision comes on the heels of Michigan landing its highest-ranked quarterback recruit of all time on Nov. 21, flipping Belleville 2025 five-star Bryce Underwood from LSU. Underwood is viewed as the program’s quarterback of the future, which could limit opportunities for other recruits at the position.
By reclassifying to 2025, Hart will forgo his senior season at Cocoa and get an early start on his college career. The 6-foot-4, 180-pounder is the second quarterback to decommit from Michigan in the past month. Fort Myers (Fla.) Bishop Verot 2025 four-star Carter Smith reopened his recruitment Oct. 30 shortly after the Wolverines’ highly publicized all-in pursuit of Underwood, the No. 1 overall recruit this cycle.
Hart led Cocoa to a state title as a sophomore and has completed 70.6% of his passes in 2024, throwing for 3,293 yards, 32 touchdowns and eight interceptions for the 8-3 Tigers.
“Modern pocket passer with a favorable frame,” 247Sports director of scouting Andrew Ivins wrote in his scouting report. “More of a drive-ball thrower than can generate plenty of power by synching up his arm and plant foot. Owns a bit of an elongated release, but can get the ball out quick, and has to in a wide-open spread attack that wants to challenge horizontally with swing/screen passes.”
