Junior Patrick Michael and sophomore Hank Roebuck each fired 1-over-par 73 to lead the Hope College men’s golf team during the final round of the 36-hole Midwest Region Classic on Saturday in Kansasville, Wisconsin.
The Flying Dutchmen finished 13th at the 44-team, two-day event at Brighton Dale Golf Links (298-297).
Carthage College (Wisconsin) won at 10-under after a final-round 275.
Junior Liam Casey (Northville, Michigan / Detroit Catholic Central HS) topped Hope by tying for 25th place individually at 2-over.
Casey shot a 75 on Saturday.
Senior Will Webb (Lake Forest, Illinois / Lake Forest) shot 76 on Saturday and was 5-over for the tournament.
Michael (Carmel, Indiana / Carmel) and Roebuck (Ann Arbor, Michigan / Skyline) both finished at 6-over.
Freshman Will Thomas (Portage, Michigan / Portage Central) carded 77 for the second consecutive day.
Junior Klay Redman (Dublin, Ohio / Dublin Coffman) had a final-round 79.
Hope’s next event is Saturday, Sept. 28, at 1 p.m. at the MIAA Jamboree hosted by Kalamazoo College at Kalamazoo Country Club.
