FORT MYERS, Fla. — Florida Gulf Coast University men’s golf tees off the spring season Monday in Atlantic Beach, Florida, at the SeaBest Invitational, hosted by Jacksonville University.
Twelve teams will converge in Duval County for the two-day, 54-hole event at Atlantic Beach Country Club. Four fellow Atlantic Sun Conference schools will compete alongside FGCU. One SEC program, No. 28 Texas A&M, and five teams from the state of Florida make up the field. No. 48 Kennesaw State marks the third current Top 50 program in the field, as individuals from No. 14 Florida have made the trip. Last season, FGCU placed fifth.
FGCU enters the spring season ranked No. 93 overall with an average team score of 285.7. The Eagles sent an individual to the NCAA Regionals a season ago.
