SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Augustana men’s golf team is set to kick off its 2024 Fall season in Bemidji, Minnesota on Monday, Sept. 9 in the 73rd Bemidji State Invitational. The two-day tournament will conclude on Tuesday, Sept. 10, and will be held at Bemidji Town & Country Club.
Augustana returns seven Vikings in Will Allen, Emmet Hansen, Chase McDonald, Jimmy Mendel, Blake Northagen, Zachary Stanz and Jacob Stewart while adding Jackson Skuodas, Henry Hartquist and Kaiden Brovold.
Head coach Mike Krsnak said “I am extremely excited for this upcoming campaign for Augustana men’s golf. The Augustana men are returning our top three players from last year’s team. Also, we have added three quality freshmen that I think can contribute right away. We have a good blend of youth and experience that should prove to be a great year for Augustana men’s golf”
Allen was named as a Viking to watch going into the season with Krsnak saying “Will is coming off a strong spring campaign where he finished tied for first in two tournaments. He was named All-Conference for the second consecutive year!”
Allen, The Harrisburg, South Dakota native finished in a tie for 23rd in the NSIC after an average stroke count of 73.7 in the 2023-24 season. He was also named an All-NSIC Second Team honoree in his latest campaign.

After the Bemidji State Invitational, men’s golf will play in five more tournaments including the Fall Brawl, Watkins Invitational, UMary Invite, USF Invitational and finish off the Fall with The Tulsa Cup.
