CANTON, N.Y. – Senior Joe DePasquale finished in a tie for third place as the St. John Fisher University men’s golf team opened the season over the weekend with a second-place finish at the St. Lawrence University Fall Invitational.
DePasquale finished four over par in the two-day tournament, shooting one under par on Sunday and five over on Saturday. St. Lawrence’s Sam Lyman also finished four over.
Three other Fisher golfers finished in the top 10, including freshman Nick Years (+8, tied for eighth), graduate student Nick Tellone (+9, tied for 10th) and senior RJ Juodaitis (+9, tied for 10th).
Fisher finished 29 over par as a team, three strokes shy of first-place St. Lawrence (+26). Clarkson finished third (+40), while Nazareth (+44) came in fourth.
