KENNESAW, Ga. – The Belmont men’s golf team stands in sixth place after day one of the Pinetree Intercollegiate held Monday at Pinetree Country Club in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Belmont carded rounds of 308 and 304 on Monday to finish in the day in sixth place at 612. Host Kennesaw State has the team lead at 591, while Georgia State is second at 598.
Two Bruins are among the top-20 after 36 holes. Junior Conner Brown posted rounds of 75 and 73 to finish the day in a tie for seventh place at 148. He is five shots back of the individual leaders, Claes Borregaard of Kennesaw State and Connor MacMillian of Georgia State (143).
Sophomore Chris Harpum is three shots back of Brown and in a tie for 16th place at 151. He carded rounds of 78 and 73.
Other Belmont scores included: sophomore Grant Clark (T-31, 156), sophomore Grey Goff (T-45, 160), and sophomore Jack Darke (T-45, 160).
Freshman Brennan Cozad, competing as an individual, is tied for 27th place at 155.
