University of Missouri men’s golf is set to continue its season Sunday, October 20 at the Williams Cup in Wilmington, North Carolina.
TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
The Tigers are set for three days of competition in a 13-team field, which will include 18 holes of action on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
Mizzou will be joined by No. 3 Auburn, No. 4 Arizona State, No. 8 North Carolina, No. 16 Florida, No. 21 Notre Dame, No. 28 New Mexico, No. 31 Louisville, Augusta, Oregon State, NC State, North Florida and UNC Wilmington.
The par-72 course at Eagle Point Golf Club measures 7,364 yards in length.
LAST TIME OUT
Mizzou sent four individuals to the Turtle Point Invite, led by sophomore Brock Snyder in 12th at three-under. Trent Mierl was just three shots behind him at even par, finishing the tournament in 18th.
CAREER BESTS
Junior Virgilio Paz enters this tournament with a collegiate best season stroke average of 72.33, an entire stroke better than last year. Sophomore Brock Snyder has improved on his freshman stroke average by over a shot as well, for an average of 71.17 on six rounds this season.
DEBUT RANKINGS
The Tigers find themself in the top 100 of the national rankings after just two tournaments of play in 2024-24, coming in at No. 94. Individually, Veikka Viskari is the team’s top-ranked golfer, ranking No. 120 in the nation.
