NASHPORT, Ohio – The Belmont men’s golf team finished in 12th place at the rain-shortened Virtues Intercollegiate held this weekend in Nashport, Ohio.
The Bruins were among approximately 55 players that had to finish their final round on Sunday. They finished the tournament in 12th place with a final score of 601, which included rounds of 295 and 306. Michigan won the team title at 559, while James Madison placed second at 562.
Sophomore Chris Harpum leads Belmont as he finished tied for 45th at 149. He carded rounds of 70 and 79.
Chuck Tragesser of Robert Morris and Yuqi Liu of Michigan tied for medalist honors at 137.
Other Belmont scores included: sophomore Grant Clark (T-51, 72-78=150), junior Conner Brown (T-59, 76-75=151), graduate student Foster Wood (T-67, 79-74=153), and sophomore Jack Darke (T-76, 77-79=156).
The men’s golf team will be back in action October 6-7 at the Cullan Brown Intercollegiate in Lexington, Kentucky.
