AURORA, Ill. — The North Park University Men’s Golf team opened their season at the Aurora Double Gun at the Aurora Country Club on Tuesday morning. The Vikings placed 14th of 18 teams, shooting 335 in round one and 318 in round two.
Tommy Taylor was the top finisher for the Vikings with an 86 in round one and 76 in round two, finishing nearly in the top half of 92 competitors at 50. Taylor had a birdie on hole 10 in round one and his par five eagles in round two accounted for two of the four eagles obtained by any players through the entire day.
Anthony Dinelli was not far behind Taylor at t55, finishing with an 80 and 84. Dinelli tallied two birdies in round one and another in round two.

Men’s and Women’s Golf compete at Randall Oaks Golf Course this coming Friday, September 6, for the Judson Invitational. Both teams tee off at noon out in Elgin.
