LAS VEGAS, Nev. – With one round left to play, the Pepperdine men’s golf team is in third place at 11-over with a two-day score of 587 (295-292) at the Southern Highlands Collegiate.
The Waves posted a 4-over 292 at the 7,510-yard par-72 Southern Highlands Golf Club today and they remain in front of the seven teams that are currently ranked ahead of them in the most recent rankings: #4 Oklahoma, #9 Virginia, #11 Florida, #12 Illinois, #16 Georgia Tech, #18 SMU, #22 San Diego State.
Seeking his first career finish inside the top-10, sophomore Willy Walsh is leading the Waves and is in 4th at 1-under with a two-day total of 143 (70-73). He’s one of only four players in the 83-player field to be under par after 36 holes.
#2 Auburn is leading the tournament at 2-under with a total of 574, while #31 UNLV is in second at 1-over with a score of 577.
