LAS VEGAS, Nev. – With one round left to play, the Pepperdine men’s golf team is in third place at 11-over with a two-day score of 587 (295-292) at the Southern Highlands Collegiate.

The Waves posted a 4-over 292 at the 7,510-yard par-72 Southern Highlands Golf Club today and they remain in front of the seven teams that are currently ranked ahead of them in the most recent rankings: #4 Oklahoma, #9 Virginia, #11 Florida, #12 Illinois, #16 Georgia Tech, #18 SMU, #22 San Diego State.

Seeking his first career finish inside the top-10, sophomore Willy Walsh is leading the Waves and is in 4th at 1-under with a two-day total of 143 (70-73). He’s one of only four players in the 83-player field to be under par after 36 holes.

#2 Auburn is leading the tournament at 2-under with a total of 574, while #31 UNLV is in second at 1-over with a score of 577.

PLAYER SCORES

• Sophomore Willy Walsh (San Mateo, Calif.) is 1-under and in 4th with a total of 143 (70-73) after the second round. After a 3-over front nine today, Walsh posted three birdies on the back nine to finish with a 1-over 73. He’s also one of only four players in the entire field to be under par with 18 holes left to play.
• Junior Mahanth Chirravuri (Chandler, Ariz.) is tied for 16th after posting a 1-over 73 with two birdies today. Chirravuri has a two-day total of 148 (75-73).
• Freshman Byungho Lee (Seoul, South Korea) carded a 3-over 75 with one birdie in the second round. Lee is also tied for 16th with a score of 148 (73-75) heading into the final round.
• Junior Brady Siravo (Sacramento, Calif.) is tied for 31st at 6-over with a two-round score of 150 (79-71). Siravo was 2-over through 13 today, but birdied three-straight holes (14-16) before earning pars on holes 17 and 18 to record a 1-under 71 in the second round. He was one of just 15 players in the entire field to shoot under par on Monday.
• Sophomore Kris Kuvaas (Houston, Texas) tallied a 3-over 75 with four birdies during his up-and-down round on Monday. Kuvaas is tied for 40th at 8-over with a two-day total of 152 (77-75).
• Playing as an individual, freshman Luke Bailey (Encinitas, Calif.) posted an 8-over 80 today. He has a two-round score of 156 (76-80) (+12) and is tied for 66th.
