The Eagles placed 12th a season ago, but have started the 2025 spring slate with different intentions. FGCU opened the spring season on Feb. 3-4 with a second-place performance at the Sea Best Invitational, improving 26 spots in the latest rankings to move up to No. 67 overall.
Freshman Brett Moore also produced a runner-up effort in Jacksonville by breaking the program record for the lowest round ever recorded, 63. Moore won the ASUN Men’s Golfer of the Week with his performance. Sophomore Christian Figueredo drilled a hole-in-hole en route to tie for third place.
Tom Scullion, Nolan Harper, Sebastian Gamboa, Moore and Figueredo will suit up for the Green and Blue this weekend in Gainesville. The Eagles tee off Saturday’s opening round starting at 7:45 a.m.
