Kutztown, Pa. – The Stevens Institute of Technology golf team took fourth at The Battle At Berkleigh on Thursday.
The Ducks turned in a +18, 306, as the “B” team placed 12th with a +40, 328.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Ben Slicker was the top performer, shooting a +2 74, which was good to tie for seventh overall. Slicker was even through the front nine and registered three birdies on the day. He tallied his final birdie on the par-3, 12th hole. Eduardo Terlaje was just behind him with a +3 and carded a -1 on the back nine. He notched a four on the par-5 18th hole.
Brock Dickson shot +5 and added a birdie on the 18th hole. Sebastian Beaver (+8) and Will Fulton (+10) rounded out the fourth-place group. Fulton added three birdies on his round, including two on the back nine.
The “B” team was paced by a +6, 78 from newcomer Evan Murphy. Murphy registered two birdies, going for a three on the par-4 17th. Dillon Kim (+9) and Punn Chittaratlert (+10) finished tied for 37th and 40th respectively. Chittaratlert posted a birdie on 18 to cap off his round. Andrew Carey rounded out the competitors, carding an 87. Carey notched a birdie on the seventh hole for his best score of the round.
UP NEXT
The Ducks will stay in Pennsylvania to compete in the DIII Northeast Elite Tournament on Saturday and Sunday. The two-day event will be held at Williamsport Country Club.
