Men’s Golf Continues Through Second Round at Valero Texas Collegiate – University of North Florida Athletics

SAN ANTONIO, Tex. – North Florida men’s golf continued fall tournament play with the second round of the Valero Texas Collegiate hosted by UTSA on Sunday afternoon.

The Ospreys were led by redshirt freshman Danny Erickson on the second day of competition with his even-par round two that saw four total birdies. UNF will look to finish strong as a team heading into the final round of one of the most prestigious tournaments in the country.

ROUND REFLECTIONS

Erickson took a good start of 1-under thru the first half and carded a pair of birdies on both the front and back nine to score and even-par Sunday and 5-over 149 overall.

He goes into the final round of play as the Osprey leader in birdies with eight combined through two rounds.

Brett Schell totaled 12 pars in his outing to be 8-over 152 heading into the final 18 holes.

Both Filippo Serra and Justin Ross have the same cumulative scores at 11-over 155 after their performances on day two.

Jason Duff continues to lead the team with 24 total pars finishing out the second round, while Alejandro Ramos continues to compete as an unattached individual.

The Ospreys finished round two with 97 total pars and 22 total birdies at UTSA.
