ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University golf team completed its second tournament of the season with the Eagles finishing 17th in the team standings at the 2024 William H. Tucker Intercollegiate, hosted by the University of New Mexico, Friday-Saturday, Sept. 20-21. The Eagles carded a team score of 925 over two days on the UNM Championship Course in Albuquerque, N.M.
How It Happened
Five Eagles played in the event with senior transfer Bavake Sihota (Caledon, Ontario/Independent Learning Center/Michigan) leading the way as he finished tied for 71st at 227 (78-71-78). He was followed in the standings by Tim Chan (Hong Kong, China/Loretto School/New Mexico JC/VCU), who was tied for 86th at 231 (78-80-73), and James Baxter (London, England/Highlands School & Sixth Form), who tied for 92nd at 236 (77-77-80). Rory McDonald-O’Brien (Shrewsbury, England/Shrewsbury School/South Carolina Aiken) finished 94th at 236 (78-78-80) in his EMU debut while Matthew Rastogi (Toronto, Ontario/Bayview Glen Independent) was 96th at 238 (80-77-81).

Eastern returns to action Saturday-Sunday, Sept. 28-29, when it travels to Nashport, Ohio, for The Virtues Intercollegiate. The two-day event will be played at The Virtues Golf Club.
