BIRMINGHAM – The UAB men’s golf team is set for its fourth and final tournament of the fall this Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 28-29, at the FAU Golf Invitational. The two-day event will be played at the Champions Course at PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
The Blazers are one of 12 teams participating this week and are joined by Florida Atlantic, Abilene Christian, UCF, Toledo, Central Arkansas, North Alabama, Temple, Stetson, South Florida, Seton Hall and Jacksonville State.
UAB will field a team consisting of sophomore
Morgan Slaton, senior
Paul Bruce, freshman
Jonathan Ericsson, sophomore
Will Stelt and freshman
Bernhard Koster. The Blazers are paired with Temple, Seton Hall and North Alabama on Monday.
Slaton looks to continue his excellent start to the season as he leads with team with a 71.2 stroke average and has finished inside the top 10 in two of three tournaments this year. He led UAB at the Everett Buick GMC Classic last time out as UAB placed fourth overall for its best team finish of the year.
