SAVANNAH, Ga. – St. John Fisher men’s golf junior Keegan Smith stands tied for fifth place after the first day of the Port City Classic hosted by Berry College at the Savannah Country Club.
The Cardinals as a team hold 14th place in the event, their first of the spring season. Carnegie Mellon (+28) and Oglethorpe (+28) are tied atop the team leaderboard.
Smith, tied with two other participants at +5, carded a 76 on Monday. Graduate senior Nick Tellone and freshman Robert Fischer also had strong performances for the Cardinals, as they are tied for 17th after the first day.
Action resumes on Tuesday morning at the Savannah Country Club.
