GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Charlotte Men’s Golf is set to start their 2025 spring season this weekend (Feb. 15-16) in Gainesville, Florida at the Mark Bostick Golf Course. Saturday will be rounds one and two (36 holes) with the final round scheduled for Sunday.
COACH’S CORNER
“I think everybody gets excited this time of the year when you get the opportunity to step back into competition,” said Head Coach Ryan Cabbage. “College golf is unique in the fact that we play the fall season that counts toward NCAA postseason and then we take a four-month break and then jump back into our spring season. I think these guys have made some good strides in the past few weeks coming out of the Christmas break and we will see where we are in Gainesville. We’ve never played the Gator Invitational, so this is both a new event and golf course for us. We will have a good game plan ready to go thanks to gathering information from some teams and coaches that have played there in the past. From what we have gathered, I think it’s going to be important this week to play with discipline and can keep our approach shots in correct relation to the flag on small greens that are going to have some slope and quickness in them. That is the way we approach any golf course that we go to so that’s not going to be different for our guys, it’ll just be a matter of discipline and proper execution”
