Oklahoma’s Jaxon Dowell led wire to wire. He finished with a 196 (-17) and helped the Sooners to a team title with a final tally of 810 (-42).
Wyoming’s Brody Leid completed what will be his best tournament as a collegiate golfer to date. He paced the Pokes with a three-round total of 207 (-6) and that gave him a tie for 29th. Leid’s Monday encompassed five birdies.
Kristof Panke put together back-to-back solid rounds. He carded a final-round 68 (-3) for a three-round total of 208 (-5), which was good enough for a tie for 35th. Panke’s Monday was littered with four birdies and an eagle.
Damon Vilkauskas boasted his best finish as a Cowboy. He placed in a tie for 35th with a three-round score of 208 (-5). Vilkauskas saved his best for last, as he fired a final-round 66 (-5) that had four birdies and zero bogeys.
Ethan Smith, competing as an individual, shot his first under-par round of the tournament Monday. He recorded a 69 (-2) to give him a three-round total of 212 (-1) to tie for 63rd.
Davis Seybert, who was also playing as an individual, finished his tournament well. He fired his second consecutive 72 (+1) for a three-round total of 218 (+5), which put him in a tie for 98th. Seybert’s Monday featured a trio of birdies.
Patrick Azevedo registered a final-round 73 (+2). He also finished with a three-round total of 219 (+5).
Jaren Calkins rebounded from a tough Sunday to card a 71 (E) on Monday that saw him hole two birdies. He finished in a tie for 107th at 220 (+7).
The Cowboys will enjoy a three-month hiatus before getting back into the swing of things at the Arizona N.I.T. in early February.
