WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The UNCW men’s basketball team was picked to finish third in the Coastal Athletic Association Preseason Poll as announced by the league on Friday morning.
The Seahawks, fresh off their third straight campaign with more than 20 wins, received one first-place vote in the predicted order of finish as voted on by the conference’s 14 head coaches. Towson and Charleston were selected as one and two, respectively, in the preseason poll.
UNCW graduate transfers Joshua Corbin and Bo Montgomery were named All-CAA Honorable Mentions.
Corbin comes to the Port City following two seasons at Robert Morris where he averaged 13.4 points and 3.4 rebounds while shooting 36.3 percent (87-of-240) from three-point range one year ago.
Montgomery joins the Seahawks following four seasons at Holy Cross where he averaged 9.3 points and 3.9 rebounds per game over the course of 105 games. He started 19-of-26 games his senior season for the Crusaders, including the final 11 games of the season.
