NASHVILLE — The Tennessee State men’s basketball team got a 36-point performance from the bench, but fell 92-74 to UNC Asheville at the Gentry Center on Sunday.
The Tigers (3-6) had three players score in double figures, led by Antoine Lorick III, who recorded a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Carlous Williams added 15 points and six rebounds and Ahmir Langlais helped out with 12 points and six rebounds off of the bench.
Led by Brandon Weston’s five offensive rebounds, Tennessee State did a great job crashing the offensive glass, pulling down 18 boards that resulted in 17 second chance points.

Tennessee State kept it close, but entered halftime down 41-37.
Tennessee State could not pull any closer in the second half, losing by a final of 92-74. Tennessee State took care of business in the paint, recording 30 of its 37 points in the lane.
