WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The UNCW men’s basketball team will open an 18-game Coastal Athletic Association slate with home games against Towson and Campbell in early January as announced by the league on Wednesday.
The Seahawks host the Tigers (Jan. 2) and Camels (Jan. 4) for two of the nine CAA contests to be played in Wilmington. UNCW will play in Trask Coliseum a record 18 times during the 2024-25 regular season.
The first league road swing of the campaign occurs the following weekend with trips to Monmouth (Jan. 9) and Hofstra (Jan. 11) on the docket.
The annual UNCW-Charleston rivalry resumes on Jan. 23 in Charleston before the Cougars travel north to the Port City on Feb. 13. The Seahawks then play Elon on Feb. 15 in Trask Coliseum.
UNCW will be on the road for three of its final four regular-season games with contests at William & Mary (Feb. 20), Hampton (Feb. 22) and Campbell (Feb. 27) preluding the regular season and home finale vs. Delaware on Mar. 1.
Other CAA home games featured are against Northeastern (Jan. 16), the Tribe (Jan. 18), Pirates (Jan. 25) and Stony Brook (Feb. 1). UNCW will visit North Carolina A&T (Jan. 30), the Blue Hens (Feb. 6) and Drexel (Feb. 8).
The 18-game conference schedule brings UNCW’s 2024-25 regular season to 31 games following the release of the Seahawks’ 13-game non-conference schedule in mid-August. UNCW will also host Fayetteville State in an exhibition on Oct. 30.
The non-conference slate is highlighted by three games as part of the 2024 Live Oak Bank Holiday Classic to be held from November 27-30 at Trask Coliseum. The Seahawks will host Appalachian State, Colgate and Sam Houston in the round-robin event.
The 2024 CAA Men’s Basketball Championship will be played from Mar. 7-11, 2025, at the Entertainment & Sports Arena in Washington, D.C.
CAA matchups will be available on FloHoops, CBS Sports Network, and local television partners throughout the league’s footprint. In addition, the semifinals and final of the CAA Men’s Basketball Championship will be televised on CBS Sports Network.
